[ The meeting had all but wrapped up and everyone else had dispersed to go elsewhere, but it's in this moment that Roland approached Alastor. Wanting to catch him before he'd left along with everything else.

Surely the demonic man must have picked up on a lot of... well. obvious tell-tales during their conversations and by this point? He was tired and hadn't wished to really speak of the things he'd actually seen during that time in the chapel earlier in the day. ]

...I do not suppose you'd be against some more conversation one on one, would you?

[ A glance was spared towards the alcohol, then a soft sigh exhaled. ]

Given the looks i've been getting from you up until now, I feel as though you knew this was coming.

Sounds like a plan.

[He holds his drink up.]

Jus'...not 'til morning. Don't think I'd be so good at scheduling right now.

[ That has him laughing, holding up his own glass with a grin. ]

That's fine! I'm not great with scheduling either, but it has nothing to do with the alcohol.

You- [He points at Roland with his hand holding the glass, then takes a drink.] Are unfairly sober right now, actually.

Kinda rude.

[ For a second he blinked, looking like a deer caught in headlights. Then he glanced at his glass and back at the older man, expression slowly turning apologetic. ]

I can't really help that, I'm afraid.

[ Though to try and help, he finished off his glass. ]

It's really quite hard to get me drunk. Sorry, Alastor.

Then if we have drinks again, you're gonna have to have them faster than me. Or stronger.

...If we do, though. Hope it's more celebratory, than this headache.

Understood. I'll keep that in mind.

[ He lowered his glass, leaning a bit more against Alastor once more. This cold still was very unpleasant. ]

I hope so too. Considering I don't like touching alcohol this much usually.

Me either. Just wine, usually.

[This chill...maybe there is something he can do about it. His eyes fall on a firefighter suit dumped in a corner of the room.]

Hey, think that'd fit you? Won't go over my wings or tail, but might help keep you warm.

[ A second passed before his gaze followed Alastor's. Seeming to consider it for a second before humming and closing his eyes. ]

I'm much too comfortable to move, but when I head out? I'll see if it fits and if it does, I'll take it with me if you'd like.

Go ahead. 'S not something I can wear, 'n I'm not as affected by the cold anyway.

[Though, he's not so immune that the burn of this next drink doesn't feel good.]

Demon physiology truly is fascinating. [ He chuckled softly. ] Is it the same with heat, too?

[ There were SO many things he'd love to ask but at least he can start with this. He's also noticed the subtle tells that was in Alastor's voice now that he was getting noticeably drunk. ]

[He's not afraid to drop letters here and there normally, but it's definitely getting more pronounced as the alcohol really starts hitting him.]

It is. Temperature...normally takes supernatural fire 'r ice to bother me. Not...quite so fireproof now, though. Must've been thorough about my magic.

I would indeed surmise that's what it is.

[ Going to reach over with one hand and a small hum, to try and grasp Alastor's glass. Not pulling it away from him as much as it's a suggestion. ]

Though, I do believe we should stop for now. You look like you could use some rest.

[He looks at the glass and huffs, then just...flops against Roland, using the side of his head as a pillow.]

'Could use some rest' sounds like all weekend.

[ Can't help that little exclamation of surprise, as he really wasn't expecting the older man to just flop against him like that. Not that he really minds much, if the soft laugh he makes is evidence enough of that. ]

Indeed it does. [ Going to just gently snatch that cup away now that he has a chance to do so. ] However, I doubt I make a comfy pillow, Alastor.

Maybe not that hard head of yours...bet your shoulder would make a better one. Or your lap.

If you'd like to lay on my lap for a little while, I wouldn't be opposed to it.

[ He did just hold up the two glasses though, not even being offended by that comment about his head. ]

I'd simply just ask if I could set these down first?

Oh, yeah...it'd be a pain if I ended up knocking one over, huh?

[So fiiiiiine...he'll sit up and pull his wing back, tucking it neatly behind his shoulder. Good thing he doesn't have them stuck at full flight size, they'd be much more unwieldy.]

[ Shaking his head a little, Roland then moved over to set down the two glasses out of the way where they wouldn't be easily broken but not forgotten about. Once that was done, he re-situated himself back on the bed properly and patted one thigh with his usual sunny smile in place. ]

[And now he's getting a devil flopped in his lap, looking up at him with a face that's surely only flushed from the alcohol.]

Yep, much more comfortable.

[godspiousjasper]

[ He just looks down at him with shining, bright eyes and allows one hand to come up and brush through Alastor's hair softly. ]

I'm glad. Try to get some rest now, hmm?

Mm, could use it...long day.

[His eyes drift shut, and as he falls asleep, the lights behind his eyelids dim and ultimately go dark.]

[ Naturally, it went without saying that he remained there long enough to fully ensure Alastor was deep asleep.

Once that had occurred, he was extremely careful in how he lifted Alastor's head up and then set it back down onto the bed. Then making to move him, while mindful of the wings and tail so he'd be more comfortably situated on the bed before pulling a blanket up over him.

He made sure to grab that fire fighter suit before he left, sparing one last look to the sleeping devil. ]
